Round University Ranking (RUR) [Russia]

The RUR ranking is one of the most important world rankings for evaluating the performance of universities and institutes in the world. Since its inception in 2010, more than 930 universities and institutes from around the world have organized it. The RUR rating includes more than 30 subcategories, the most important of which are:

·        Overall Ranking: - Includes all educational institutions participating in the classification for all countries of the world.

·        Ranking by region (Dimension Areas Rankings): - Distributes educational institutions to four regions and shows a sequence by region.

·        Subject Rankings: -

Educational institutions are classified based on (6) subjects: Humanities, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Social Sciences, and finally Medical Sciences.

·        Subject Rankings By Dimension Areas: -

Educational institutions are classified by subject and region (combining two rankings), thereby distributing educational institutions to 24 subcategories.

Universities are classified into two groups based on the performance of academic reputation.

1-Standards and relative weight of this ranking

This ranking is based on 20 indicators that fall under four main standards: education, scientific research, internationalization of higher education, and financial sustainability, as shown below:

 

 

1.     University of Anbar ranking in this ranking

·        RUR ranking requests special data for previous years and not for the current year (e.g. RUR ranking for 2019 data is completed during 2018 specifically between June and May and requests data for 2016 (three years late) to be announced in May 2019).

·

·        The number of research and quotations is calculated based on the database provided by Clarivate.

·        In 2019, University of Anbar made its 1st appearance in this ranking and was ranked the world's 727 and seventh Iraqi.

·        In 2020, University of Anbar was ranked 699th globally to be the 3rd Iraqi.

·        In 2021, University of Anbar was ranked as the world's 740 and 5th Iraqi.
